Patient comfort is one of the highest priorities of AMC, therefore the very impressive new building includes a welcoming, well arranged reception area, modern cafeteria, well equipped waiting areas with indoor gardens for patients and families.
From an architectural point of view, the building already became a landmark structure. A triangular shaped canopy at the main entrance is a very characteristic architectural feature designed to offer protection and comfort to patients, visitors and employees, while at the same time is giving the building its own unique identity, thus making it a point of reference. American Medical Center extends to over 3 floors in an area of 10,000 square meters. It possesses 5 operating theaters, and the total number of hospital beds amounts to 50. A helicopter landing pad on the roof of the hospital helps to save time in emergency cases, considering often overly congested roads.
Each patient has his own individual multimedia cockpit that will provide access to internet, Skype, telephone, nurse call and personal entertainment, being able to choose from a variety of educational and other DVD’s. Additionally the patient has the flexibility to order the menu of his choice from a high end cafeteria-catering service on the premises.
Our specialized chefs and personnel are providing food services on a daily basis to the patients and families. From breakfast to afternoon tea, and the gastronomical dinner food items are very creative and provided with excellent service. Our cafeteria is becoming a focal meeting point for business luncheon and its premises are open to the non-resident public as well, daily from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.
The modern, refined, well – designed library, offers visitors a quiet, distraction – free zone where they can choose to read from a variety of books. The library can also boast amazing group study spaces, with wireless and network connections, ideal for medical students. A view of the main waiting area, gives you the chance to enjoy the historical artifacts, artwork and indoor garden that adorn the Center.
AMC provides facilities for members of all faith communities to practice their religion, their traditions and rituals. The Multi-Faith Prayer Room is situated in the basement of the American Medical Center. It is designed to be a welcoming and accessible space for people of all faiths. The space can accommodate up to 10-20 people and is open during regular opening hours.
We are also keen to ensure the opinions of our in-house quests and patients and carry out feedback. Through our health and safety process we have established a variety of Focus Groups which personnel and medical doctors are encouraged to attend.
