Occupational Medicine is a medical specialty focusing on the prevention, evaluation, analysis and treatment of health problems that are caused, exacerbated or may generally be associated with work (work environment).
Epidemiology is the science with which we study the distribution and determinants of disease frequency in the population. Through epidemiology we study the different risk factors that may contribute to the development of disease in a population by applying the principles of statistics and analytical methods in medicine.
