VISITOR INFORMATION

Your visit to the American Medical Center is significant to us, and we want to ensure your experience is as smooth and comfortable as possible. This section gives essential details to help you navigate your time with us, from understanding our temporary visitation guidelines to finding your way within our premises.

  • We understand the importance of visitors in supporting our patients' healing process.

    To ensure the comfort and safety of all, please adhere to the following visitation guidelines:

    • We kindly ask that you keep your visits brief to allow patients adequate time for rest and recovery.

    • Each patient may have a maximum of two visitors at a time.

    • Children are not permitted to visit the clinic.

    • Family members are not allowed to stay overnight at the clinic.

    Visiting Hours for Wards:

    • 09:00 - 10:00

    • 12:00 - 13:00

    • 15:00 - 17:00

    • 19:00 - 21:00

    Note: Overnight stays by relatives are not allowed in double occupancy rooms.

    ICU Visitation: Visits are limited to immediate family only, for a duration of five minutes during the following hours:

    • 10:30 - 11:00

    • 12:00 - 12:30

    • 15:00 - 16:00

    • 18:00 - 18:30

  • Navigating our hospital is made easier with signage placed throughout the building. Staff members at the front reception are also available to assist you. Patient rooms are labelled with a single letter followed by a three-digit number. The letter designates the section, and the first digit indicates the floor.

    • S: South part of the building, Section 1

    • C: Central part of the building, Section 2

    • N: North part of the building, Section 3

    • 0: Basement

    • 1: Ground floor

    • 2: First floor

     

    For instance, Room N107 is located in the North part of the building, Section 3, on the ground floor. If you need guidance or have questions about directions, don't hesitate to ask any staff member.

  • Feel free to use your cell phone at AMC unless indicated otherwise by signage. While using your cell phone, please be mindful of others and respect patient confidentiality.

  • Wireless Internet is available throughout the building. Ensure your electronic device is equipped with wireless Internet capabilities. If it can detect available networks, it will identify the “Guest” network and prompt you to connect.

  • Our cafeteria operates daily from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with adjusted hours on Saturdays (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and Sundays (10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.). We accept VISA and MasterCard. If needed, receipts for food purchases can be requested.

  • Visitors and families can park for free in areas marked "Visitor Parking." Please avoid parking in spots designated for special needs, such as handicapped spaces.

  • Security services are available during the nighttime hours to ensure a safe environment.

  • Public transportation options are accessible. Find more information at http://www.osel.com.cy.

  • Regrettably, live plants and flowers are not allowed in patient rooms or the Intensive Care Unit. If received, we will hold these items in the hospital and provide them to patients or their relatives upon departure. Nonetheless, sending cards and other gifts to patients at AMC is encouraged.

  • To maintain a healthy healing environment, AMC is a "No Smoking" facility.

  • For safety, refrain from bringing valuables to the hospital. AMC is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

  • Here are a few points to keep in mind while visiting your loved ones:

    • Maintain a quiet atmosphere by speaking softly and minimizing unnecessary noise.

    • Understand that family and visitors may occasionally be asked to leave the room during tests, treatments, or medical examinations.

    • Prioritize hand hygiene by washing your hands upon arrival and before departing.

    • Refrain from visiting if you're feeling unwell to prevent spreading germs.

    • All children must be supervised by an adult and cannot be left alone with the patient.
